I got my beautiful dress made at Robyn Roberts Bridal. It was an unbelievable process consisting of 6 fittings and hand cutting and pinning sections of lace where necessary. Thanks Michelle for all your patience and care for detail.
My bouquet was put together by the talented team at Babylonstoren and it included jasmine, roses and little teeny tiny pumpkins, all in keeping with the farm vibe.
We treated our guests to lovely refreshing cordials, ice tea and lemonade with pretty grey stripped paper straws on the lawn before the ceremony. An accordion player provided light entertainment.
His first glimpse of me...and a kiss from my grandfather...
This is the part where we say "I do"! Our rings were kept safe in a ring bearers book that I made with an old book and some ribbon.
The bridesmaids...
The kiss...
Exiting the chapel we were welcomed by brightly coloured ribbon wavers instead of confetti...confetti isn't good for the resident ducks or turkeys for that matter. I also love the pop of colour they added.
We had a photobooth set up with an Instax camera and some fun props so our guests could make their guest book entries truly fun. Yip thats us getting in on the action...
Canapés and bubbles were served on the lawn as well as lawn games (like naughts and crosses) to keep guests busy whilst we were off doing our photos...
We had two group shots...one with all our guests...
And one with our family and bridal party...
Here are some of our gorgeous photos from in the gardens...
These are my favs...in the glass house at a table just the two of us...
The food consisted of stunning red, yellow and green salads as starters, gorgeous lamb and fish with plums for mains and a canapé style dessert served outside with coffee and limoncello.
Our unexpected guests...
We followed dinner with the cake cutting and our first dance...
The rest of the evening was filled with live music and an amazing fire dancing show. We had a gorgeous day enveloped in love, laughter and great company. And I wouldn't have wanted it any different!
Hope you enjoyed this peek at our big day!
